The Gothic Cottage, Stourhead
A 'cottage orné' (French for 'decorated cottage') overlooking the lake at Stourhead in Wiltshire. It is not known when the house was originally constructed, but it is probable that it is of mid to late 18th century and it was first shown on the map of Stourton of 1785. The building is Grade I listed.
