The Charterhouse Old Library


This room at the Charterhouse, London was until 2000 the Brothers' library. Before that it was called "Gownboys Hall, the dining room for the Foundation Scholars". Source: the Charterhouse Guidebook.

This large chimneypiece was installed in 1614 and was carved by Edmund Kinsman. At the top can be seen the coat of arms of Thomas Sutton.
