St Brides Holden Shield
A stone shield and door lintel at St Brides Church, Fleet Street, London. Located set into the wall to the left of the entrance path.
These stones were once above the doorway into the vault of the Holden family and is one of few surviving relics of the church pre the fire of 1666.
The lintel reads: "HE DOORWAY - INTO MR HOLDENS VAULT - ERECTED APRIL ANNO 1657".
