Smallhythe Trench 11
Trench 11 in Elfwick Field at the end of the first week of excavation in August 2022. The chalk foundations of the building recorded in this trench can be seen, further excavation subsequently revealed a possible return at the western end of the wall, and the remains of a second building of a different construction in the southern part of the trench.
