Crystal Palace Bowl
The Crystal Palace Bowl is an outdoor music stage in Crystal Palace Park, London.
The stage is designed to look like it is floating above the lake it is situated in. In recent years the stage has not been used and the its wooden surface is beginning to deteriorate. Access to the stage is via a retractable drawbridge at the rear. To the sides of the lake are large speaker towers and the canopy also contains dozens of speakers.
There is a campaign to preserve and reopen the venue and it is often open during London Openhouse days:
