Coalhouse Fort Small Building
A small concrete building/pillbox, probably from the Second World War and probably an observation post, located at the north west end of the moat of Coalhouse Fort, East Tilbury, Essex.
The moat would have extended past this point and around the back of the fort.
Mounting pins for a metal door can still be seen in the entrance past the blast wall. Inside are some timbers of unknown purpose and deep square holes in the floor.
