Bollard Eastcheap
A bollard and old public lavatory vent at the centre of the junction of Eastcheap and Gracechurch Street, London.
This is actually a truncated former lamp that stood on the junction and along with its neighbouring bollards was designed to double as ventiliation for the urinals below.
Date: 19th Century.
155 photos taken in September 2022 with a Sony a7R III and processed in Reality Capture. Date, background information and inspiration for capturing this bollard is with thanks to the amazing book, Bollardology by Cathy Ross.
Rear side poor quality as was against railings so tricky to photograph.
