Bodiam Castle, Pillbox
A World War II anti-tank emplacement just south of Bodiam Castle, East Sussex, England. The pillbox was constructed in the autumn of 1940 as part of strategic inland defensive stop-line along the River Rother against a feared German invasion. Its purpose was to defend Bodiam Bridge.
