Air Raid Shelter Clissold Crescent

A Second World War air raid shelter located between garages (and against the wall of the New River Path) behind The Lodge on Clissold Crescent, London.

The brick walled and concrete sloping roof of the bricked up entrance stair can be seen. A concrete slab area can be seen and is presumed to mark the area of the roof of the shelter. The poor construction low brick wall is seemingly a later flower bed built on top of the shelter. A small broken area of concrete slab with hollow below can be seen between the raised flower bed and wooden fencing. This could be an emergency exit or ventilation shaft but from cursory inspection was not very deep a hole.

The carpark and land it sits on/under is owned by 54 Clissold Crescent, the bungalow behind The Lodge.
